Frasers Group raises Boohoo stake again

Mike Ashley’s Frasers Group, which owns Sports Direct, Flannels and House of Fraser, has upped its stake in Boohoo Group from 16.5 per cent. to 17.2 per cent, following a series of rises in October.

After purchasing a 5 per cent investment in the company in June, Frasers Group became the single largest shareholder in Boohoo Group, which includes Boohoo, PrettyLittleThing, and Nasty Gal, on 9th October.

Frasers Group increased its investment in Boohoo Group to 15.1 per cent one week later, on 16th October, then to 16.5 per cent the following week.

It also upped its investment in failing etailer Asos to 22.8 per cent that month.

The group withdrew from its acquisition of SportScheck last week after the German retail chain filed for administration on Thursday (30th November), and is now looking for a pre-pack sale for the company.
